The World Robot Conference 2026 was held for the first time in Beijing from 19–23 August 2026, with more than 300 exhibitors from 26 countries participating and over 3,000 products on display.
One of the standout products unveiled at the event was the "Robot Mobile Mother Ship" — a mobile logistics base for a fleet of robots. The vehicle is capable of carrying humanoid robots, robot dogs, and drones, while also being fitted with an onboard battery-swapping station and maintenance system.
Zheng Gang, Chairman of Fitbus Technology, revealed that the company plans to put this model of mother ship into mass production by the end of this year, with commercial deployment expected to begin by June next year.
As robots continue to grow in capability, one significant challenge that remains is building a central command system capable of controlling and coordinating robots from multiple manufacturers to work together seamlessly.
SIASUN launched OneHub, a multi-robot coordination system powered by a large language model. Han Tianwen, Director of SIASUN's Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, said the system is able to control different types of robots working in concert — for example, three robots of two different types can operate together under a single system using large model technology.
Ensuring Tech, headquartered in Shenzhen, showcased a motion-capture glove with a multi-dimensional tactile sensing system, as well as a large-area electronic skin capable of detecting objects as they approach.
Hou Ningzhe, Founder and CEO of Ensuring Tech, said that the modular design makes it possible to build a hand-skeleton model tailored to each individual user's hand, enabling more accurate tactile data collection — rather than applying a one-size-fits-all hand structure to every user.
