"Taiwan Talks 2026" concludes brilliantly in Bangkok as 4 million-follower influencers share Taiwan travel tips, with the announcement of lucky winners of the grand prize of business class airline tickets from the first round of the Online Lucky Draw campaign, while the second round of the Online Lucky Draw campaign is launched to continuously stimulate travel to Taiwan.
The Taiwan Tourism Administration staged a grand sharing seminar, "Taiwan Talks 2026," on 8 August at Siam Paragon shopping centre in Bangkok, drawing more than 300 attendees. The event invited well-known Thai influencers with millions of followers — five individuals from four creator teams — to share Taiwan travel itineraries across four themes in their own unique styles, alongside an exciting travel knowledge quiz competition. The occasion was also graced by Ms. Cindy Chen, Director of the Taiwan Tourism Administration Office in Bangkok, together with representatives from partner airlines China Airlines, EVA Air, and STARLUX Airlines, who joined the stage to draw the prizes and announce the lucky winners of the grand prize of "business class airline tickets" from the first round of the annual Online Lucky Draw Campaign. The launch of the second round of the Online Lucky Draw Campaign was also announced to stimulate travel to Taiwan during the second half of the year.
Special travel itineraries were shared across four themes, accompanied by travel itinerary brochures inviting attendees to experience Taiwan from a deeper perspective, precisely targeting Thai travellers with a wide range of interests. The event was centred on presenting the concept of "Taiwan 100 Ways," through which the Taiwan Tourism Administration aims to open up new perspectives and move beyond familiar, conventional travel routes, so that every Thai traveller can discover their own style of exploring Taiwan. The event also invited renowned Thai influencers with millions of followers — representatives of all four themes — to share in-depth Taiwan travel experiences as travellers who had experienced the destinations firsthand.
The first to take the stage was Ms. Natcha from "Natcha NCS," representing the "Waves of Vitality" theme, who conveyed her relaxing, soul-healing trip experience through cycling on the old rail tracks of Miaoli and soaking in beautiful hot springs. Mr. Nat and Ms. Om from "Pai Gun Na" (ไปกันนะ), representing the "Waves of Flavor" theme, took food lovers to discover delicious destinations by following Michelin-recognised spots across Taiwan. Mr. Golf from "Golf Ma Yuen" (กอล์ฟมาเยือน) delved into the "Waves of Culture" theme, conveying the charm of Taiwan's culture through its diversity of beliefs and the atmosphere of the old town district of Lukang. And Mr. Khuean from "Koendanai," who travelled with his sweetheart to experience travel itineraries through the "Waves of Love" theme, reflecting Taiwan's diverse and welcoming tourism appeal as a destination ready to embrace travellers of all backgrounds.
In addition, the event featured the distribution of thematic travel itinerary brochures for attendees to use in planning their trips. Many attendees expressed the same sentiment — that they could genuinely use the itineraries recommended by the influencers to plan their own trips, making travel planning more convenient and straightforward.
Ms. Cindy Chen, Director of the Taiwan Tourism Administration Office in Bangkok: "Turning interest in visiting Taiwan into actual travel"
At the event, Ms. Cindy Chen, Director of the Taiwan Tourism Administration Office in Bangkok, along with the four prominent influencers and representatives from the partner airlines, appeared on stage together to officially mark the launch of the tourism promotion campaign for the second half of the year.
Ms. Cindy Chen said: "After the COVID era, travel behaviour among people around the world has changed. Travellers are placing greater importance on unique, personalised travel experiences. This is the inspiration behind the 'Taiwan 100 Ways' campaign — to reflect the diversity of Taiwan's attractions, culture, and lifestyle, and to invite travellers to discover and experience Taiwan from a different perspective.
'Taiwan Talks 2026' is one of the most significant offline tourism promotion events of the second half of the year. It brings together influencers representing four travel themes to open up new perspectives on Taiwan travel for Thai audiences. In addition to providing the latest travel updates, the event also offered attendees fun activities and the chance to win special prizes, with the aim of converting travel interest into real journeys and sustaining the popularity of Taiwan as a travel destination in the Thai market throughout the second half of the year."
The Taiwan Travel Game kicks off — over 300 attendees compete to claim the title of ultimate Taiwan travel superfan!
During the second half of the event, a real-time quiz competition was held, drawing over 300 attendees to pit their knowledge against one another in a quiz game to compete for the title of "Ultimate Taiwan Travel Superfan." The atmosphere throughout the event was filled with fun and laughter.
The competition questions were creatively designed to cover not only the key highlights from the influencers' four main travel theme itineraries, but also information about the year-round online lucky draw campaign, "Taiwan 100 Ways – 2026 Lucky Draw Campaign" — a collaboration between the Taiwan Tourism Administration, Klook, and three partner airlines: China Airlines, EVA Air, and STARLUX Airlines — adapted into rapid-fire questions. Attendees learned about travel benefits for visiting Taiwan and the lucky draw participation rules through an exciting speed-based game. The top three highest-scoring competitors each received a Klook voucher for use on products or services in Taiwan, serving as an excellent warm-up for the upcoming tourism attraction activities.
Announcement of the first round of results from the Thai tourist attraction campaign, and the launch of the second round of the online lucky draw
For the final highlight of the event, Ms. Cindy Chen, Director of the Taiwan Tourism Administration Office in Bangkok, together with representatives from the partner airlines, joined the stage to officially draw the prizes and announce the winners of the first round of the annual online lucky draw campaign. The grand prizes in this round consisted of round-trip business class tickets on the Bangkok–Taipei route from China Airlines and STARLUX Airlines, one prize each. Additional prizes included round-trip economy class tickets from China Airlines and EVA Air, one prize each, along with many other special rewards.
At this event, there was an opportunity to interview the Thai lucky winner who received the grand prize of a business class airline ticket from the first round of the Online Lucky Draw. The winner, visibly excited, revealed: "This is the first time in my life I've won a major prize and will have the chance to experience travelling in business class. I had already purchased an economy class ticket with EVA Air and was planning to travel to Taipei alone in December this year for a relaxed 5-day trip — but I never expected to win such a big prize."
The winner also revealed that she has now visited Taiwan 13 times in total and has travelled to almost every part of the island, with the exception of some outer islands. For her, Taiwan feels like home — the Taiwanese people are friendly, getting around is easy, and the food is wonderful — making Taiwan feel like her "second home." It suits solo travel, trips with friends, and family holidays alike, which is the main reason she keeps returning to Taiwan time and again.
At the same time, the Taiwan Tourism Administration officially announced the launch of the second round of its tourism promotion campaign (running from 1 August to 31 October). Simply purchase Taiwan travel products through Klook or buy an airline ticket on a Thailand–Taiwan route from a partner airline and register to participate in the online lucky draw to be eligible immediately. The second round draw will take place on 10 November. The grand prize in this round is a round-trip business class ticket on the Bangkok–Taipei route from EVA Air, one prize, along with round-trip economy class tickets from China Airlines and EVA Air, one prize each, plus many more special travel rewards — all aimed at encouraging Thai travellers to choose Taiwan as a top destination and fully driving the number of Thai visitors to Taiwan during the second half of the year.
