Bangkok Airways has disclosed its operating results for the first half of 2026, reporting a net profit of 2,431.8 million baht, an increase of 16.3%. For the second quarter alone, net profit stood at 332.6 million baht. The airline raised ticket fares and managed its expenses to offset fuel costs that rose by as much as 49%.
Mr. Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, President of Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited (BA), disclosed that in the second quarter of 2026 (April–June 2026), the company recorded total revenue of 6,052.5 million baht, an increase of 5.5%, and total expenses of 5,533.1 million baht, an increase of 11.7%, resulting in a net profit for the second quarter of 332.6 million baht.
During the second quarter, ticket prices were raised by 4.2% to compensate for total expenses that climbed approximately 11.7%, particularly jet fuel costs, which surged 49.0% compared with 2025.
For the first half of 2026, the company recorded total revenue of 13,934.7 million baht, an increase of 3.0%, and total expenses of 10,622.5 million baht, an increase of 2.3%, resulting in a net profit of 2,431.8 million baht, up 16.3% year-on-year. This reflects the company's capacity to generate revenue and control costs effectively amid economic volatility and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
In the first half of 2026, the company transported 2.1 million passengers, a decline of 3.7% compared with 2025. This was the result of reduced growth on domestic routes (excluding Samui routes) and international routes, which fell by 10.8% and 38.4% respectively, driven by point-of-sale ticket purchases in Asia and Europe, which declined by 18.0% and 5.0% respectively.
