The government has revealed that sales at the "Silpachip Prateep Thai OTOP Lom Duang Jai Duay Phra Baramee" exhibition topped 367 million baht over five days, with 12 August alone surging to 82.7 million baht.
Today (13 August 2026), Ms. Lalida Phoetwiwattana, Deputy Government Spokeswoman, disclosed the progress of the "Silpachip Prateep Thai OTOP Lom Duang Jai Duay Phra Baramee" exhibition, which is being held from 8–16 August 2026 at IMPACT Mueang Thong Thani. She said that over the first five days of the event, from 8–12 August 2026, cumulative sales totalled 367,933,077 baht, reflecting strong public enthusiasm for OTOP products and goods rooted in community wisdom from across the country.
The Deputy Government Spokeswoman said that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, places importance on creating economic opportunities at the grassroots level by promoting OTOP products and local wisdom to gain market space, reach more consumers, and generate income that flows directly back to entrepreneurs and communities. The response to this year's event, she said, concretely demonstrates the potential of Thai goods to create tangible economic value.
On 12 August 2026 alone, total sales reached 82,735,853 baht — the highest single-day figure since the event opened — comprising 73,952,767 baht in over-the-counter sales, 5,779,439 baht in orders, and 3,003,647 baht in online sales.
Daily sales from 8–12 August 2026 were as follows: 8 August, 70,728,357 baht; 9 August, 75,258,201 baht; 10 August, 70,015,308 baht; 11 August, 69,195,358 baht; and 12 August, 82,735,853 baht — bringing the five-day cumulative total to 367,933,077 baht.
Breaking down sales by product category, the largest share of cumulative revenue came from fabrics and apparel at approximately 193.8 million baht, followed by food at approximately 66.7 million baht, household goods at approximately 41.7 million baht, non-food herbal products at approximately 8.8 million baht, and beverages at approximately 7.5 million baht.
"Sales of over 367 million baht in just five days demonstrate the power of OTOP goods and Thai wisdom to genuinely convert into income for entrepreneurs and communities. In particular, 12 August alone recorded sales of over 82.7 million baht. The government wants the OTOP marketplace to serve as another key mechanism for creating jobs, generating income, and continuously circulating money through the grassroots economy," the Deputy Spokeswoman said.
The "Silpachip Prateep Thai OTOP Lom Duang Jai Duay Phra Baramee" exhibition continues through 16 August 2026. The event brings together OTOP entrepreneurs from across the country, featuring Silpachip products, Thai fabrics, handicrafts, food, and a wide variety of community products. Members of the public are also able to use their entitlements under the "Thai Chuay Thai Plus 60/40" project at the venue.
