"Anutin" opens the "Silpachip Prateep Thai OTOP: Hearts United by Royal Grace" event, describing it as an important step in showcasing the potential of producers and entrepreneurs, reflecting the success of product development and helping to strengthen the country's economy.
Today (10 Aug.), at 3:10 p.m., at Challenger Hall 2, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul presided over the opening ceremony of the Silpachip Prateep Thai OTOP: Hearts United by Royal Grace 2026 event. He was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Thanon Charnvirakul; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Mrs. Supajee Suthumpun; Deputy Prime Minister Mrs. Songsak Thongsri; Minister of Digital Economy and Society Mr. Chaiyachanok Chitchob; Minister of Culture Ms. Sabida Thaisetth; and three Deputy Ministers of Interior — Mr. Phonphee Suwannachawi, Mr. Worasit Liangprasit, and Mr. Jayset Thaisetth — as well as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior and senior Ministry of Interior executives.
In his opening address, Mr. Anutin said that holding the Silpachip Prateep Thai OTOP: Hearts United by Royal Grace event on this occasion represents an important opportunity for all of us to come together in paying tribute to the boundless royal grace of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, whose unwavering royal determination has been to elevate the quality of life of people across all regions. By her gracious initiative, occupations and income opportunities were promoted for farmers alongside the conservation, continuation, and further development of invaluable traditional arts and crafts, so that they may endure as a lasting cultural heritage. Such royal benevolence has brought immense benefit to the country — strengthening communities, fostering sustainable self-reliance, and preserving local wisdom so that it may adapt and advance through the modern age. Today, therefore, this is not merely a venue for displaying and selling local wisdom products, but also a stage for carrying forward the royal vision and for spreading the value of Thai wisdom, culture, and identity, through Silpachip products and OTOP goods born from the diligence, craftsmanship, and creativity of the Thai people.
Mr. Anutin said that the Silpachip Prateep Thai event represents another important step in demonstrating the significant potential of producers and entrepreneurs, reflecting the ongoing success of OTOP product development — a vital contributor to the growth, strength, and sustainability of the national economy. He extended his gratitude to all agencies, as well as to producers, entrepreneurs, and all parties involved who have joined forces to organize this highly meaningful event. He also invited the public to visit and shop for Silpachip products and OTOP goods in order to support Thai wisdom and community entrepreneurs, and to collectively drive the country's grassroots economy toward lasting stability and sustainability.
