Thailand's Fine Arts Department Invites Public to Participate in Songkran Water Blessing Ceremonies

The Department of Fine Arts has invited the public to participate in traditional water-pouring ceremonies at sacred stupas and celestial deity shrines during Thailand's Songkran festival celebrations in 2569 Buddhist Era (2026).

The ceremonies, known as "Songkran," mark the Thai New Year and are observed nationwide with religious and cultural significance. Water-pouring rituals at religious sites are believed to bring merit and blessings to participants and their communities.

The Fine Arts Department oversees preservation of Thailand's cultural heritage and religious traditions. Participation in these ceremonies reflects long-standing Buddhist customs and communal celebrations that have been observed for generations across Thailand.
